I am a specialist in diabetes and hormone diseases. Over the years I have put on another hat writing about social/political issues like slavery, colonialism and neocolonialism. I have also written education materials for patients on 63 diseases in Bemba.

Help Us Build a Living Language Archive
A group of us have been working on an Online Bemba English Dictionary for several years. We are in the final stages, and hopefully, in January 2026, we’ll be able to launch the dictionary to the public.
The work has taken a lot of time, effort, and money, but it has all been worthwhile.
The aim is to have an online dictionary that will state the word, have a pronunciation facility of the word, designation (ie verb, noun etc), meaning, example of use, synonyms and antonyms of the word, source of the word, figurative/idiomatic/colloquial use of the word and all proverbs associated with the word.
The work is done under the auspices of a duly registered Online Bemba Dictionary Trust. The Trust has a bank account and annually audited accounts.
